I know people are confused about how this shit can happen, I know we're all looking deeper into this than we had been doing, and I know we all want answers for something that seem so unbelievably bad, but I think we're just going to have to accept it: Jenifer Lawrence is a popular bankable actress and has made her fortune on based on her abilities as an actress. We can try and look for other things that explain it, but in the end, we just have to accept this is the reality of the world we live in.

It happens because everyone lets it happen. People don't believe someone is "that bad" or think that because they have one redeeming quality, everyone should accept "that's just how he/she is." They roll over when bullied because they were raised to never question authority. Assholes move ahead and to the top because nobody wants to stop them, or at least don't believe that they can because nobody else around them cares to do anything.

That said, for the time being, I won't make any assumptions about what Jennifer Lawrence may or may not have done, or been involved with, when it comes to this sack of ogre taints.

No, we don't. Attitudes can change. Okay things aren't perfect now but they're so much better than in the Mad Men era.

Men aren't indentured slaves to their hormones or genitals any more than women are. When you reach adulthood you are responsible for your goddamn actions, I don't care how powerful you are or how hormone soaked your brain.

Most men I know are on board with this perfectly obvious piece of logic. It's men like you who allow this crap to exist in the first place by accepting it as part and parcel of life.
