I'm skeptical that moralistic judgmental asshats ever do anything that's all that great - but even if so, it really is only a matter of time before they turn on you, because they don't give two shits about whatever moral issue they claim to care about, they get off on the energy of scolding people.

Find friends you don't have to hide harmless interests from out of fear.
