I haven't had a MacDonald's apple pie in a million years, but aren't they just things they can stick in a microwave/oven/fryer? Like, it's not as if they have to slice it and make it pretty on a plate with a scoop of ice cream. I just can't fathom how something that takes so little prep work just wouldn't get done, even if they were really busy. They must have kept forgetting and it fell through the cracks.
