I once saw a dude who had his legs spread so far apart I actually giggled pretty loudly and played off like I saw something funny on my phone, it looked so ridiculous, and honestly less comfortable than if he was just sitting normally.

Ugh, yeah, I have a guy friend who is a defender of manspreading, and it bugs the hell out of me. He argues that it's really uncomfortable for men to sit with their legs together. My response is, then why do so many European men sit with their legs crossed? By choice?? He seems to have no answer for this, but still persists in saying men's testicles need the space.

But I mean, really. Maybe some guys do feel uncomfortable with their legs right together. Maybe their testicles are super sensitive or something. Fine, crack your legs open a little. Nobody here is complaining about guys who crack their legs open a little. But dude, YOUR BALLS DON'T NEED 60, 70, 80 DEGREES OF SPACE, and if they do, that's YOUR problem.

And yet, somehow men manage to sit in airplane seats without spreading their legs across the whole row.

I once heard something on the radio about airline seat widths and why they seem too narrow to so many people - partly because people average heavier now than in the early days of commercial aviation, partly because they based it on men's average hip with, not women's, but mostly because - in terms of one's skeletal frame - most people are wider in the shoulders than the hips, so using average hip width meant even skinny people would be bumping shoulders.

So, if they used men's butts to determine airplane seat width, they apparently used women's butts for public transit seats, since they did not account for ball room (which men require only on public transit, I guess, and not airplanes... or passenger trains or most motor vehicles, for that matter).

Seriously. :( Frustrates me when I get on the bus and there’s so many outside seats taken with the window seats empty...Makes me that that I have shit knees even more.

Half the time they've got a bag next to them as well so they can't scoot over, and like if it's not busy, okay whatever(still annoys me but it's not rammed so my ire isn't warranted all that much). But when the bus is busy? Fucking move the bag at let someone sit.

Ah I'm sorry about the shit knees, the other bus-gripe is aimed at people that don't move for those that need it, that shouldn't even be an issue and yet...
