What would be the best?

To be honest, I think all the interesting ones would be the worst to live in. Like World of Warcraft. The world is amazing, but I don't think I'd want to actually live there. I guess I'd go with the Star Wars video games because there are eras and places where you could be and be perfectly fine and happy.

Are you a player character, or are you a random NPC

I'm going to vote for Silent Hill as the worst. (At least, if you are actually stuck in Silent Hill.) There may be worse ones out there but it's the worst one I've ever played.

Pokemon would be the best to me.

Worst would be Left 4 Dead. Though, I'd be dead so meh.

Best would probably be Pokemon.

Zombie apocalypse or nuclear apocalypse.

Much as I love WoW I'd never want to live there because giant fucking spiders. I'd never leave my house. Also unless I was an adventurer it'd be pretty freaking dangerous, what with all sorts of magical creatures trying to kill you.

So Pokémon maybe?

Giant spiders don't bug me personally, so that part of WOW (or Middle Earth) don't scare me so much. But life expectancy is so low. Who wants to live in a world where you'll probably die your first day there?

Oh yeah I didn't think about that. In WoW at least there is a fair amount of priests and healing magic available, but all the evil magic is basically horrific so if a bad-guy came strolling through you're basically fucked.

Oh, Death Knights... I didn't consider Death Knights.

... Yeah Azeroth would suck to live in if I wasn't my Druid(or any of my other toons).

Yup. And in Middle Earth you pretty much have to be an Ainur. And I'd totally be a hobbit, even though I'd rather be an Elf. But either way, I'd be screwed. Most people die in ME.

Yeah I'd most likely be a Hobbit, or some poor mook human who dies in like a week.

Yup. Part of the fun of fantasy for me is imagining people could be magical because then I can imagine myself being magical. But if I actually lived in that world, I'd be the normal. And not even a badass normal. I'd be the one who got killed in the opening five minutes. Even as a Hobbit, I'd be one killed by a Nazgul or something.

That's all right. With my luck I'd be undead already. What more could go wrong?

My thing is as much as I'd like to be something magical, or even undead, I'd almost certainly just be a normal person in whatever world. And normal people don't have much luck or much chance.

I mean, you basically just described Pokemon in the first sentence, too. Giant bugs (and worse) that constantly pop out of the wild and attack you. Ten-year-olds would be so dead if the Pokemon world were real.

I don't want to be anywhere near the Dark Souls verse (or Demons' Souls for that matter). Nope. No. Uh uh. No sirree!

For best place... I'm going to go for something a little off the beaten path. I want to be in Arland, from the Atelier games. It's all low-key magic and steampunk, and it's bright, and pleasant, and completely lacking in grit.

Is it bad that I would love to be in Bloodborne's world? I mean, I'd die so fast, but if I was stealthy enough to move about without being noticed... goddamn. Aesthetics. ♥

Any post-apocalyptic world, like in The Last of Us or Resident Evil would be the worst. I don't think stuff like that would be cool to go through like how most everyone seems to think it would be. The reality of what those situations would be like just doesn't do it for me.

I'd also hate to be in the middle of The Raiden Project lmao and I'd probably feel uncomfortable with a world that had a super fast blue hedgehog and friends as its heroes.

Best would be Spira from Final Fantasy X, probably. Avalar would be fun, but I think I'd prefer The Forgotten Worlds if I had to choose out of those two Spyro first generation worlds. Either way, they both contain tons of portals to a bunch of other homeworlds that could be explored. The possibilities are endless there!

The world of Pokémon would be amazing in theory, but I think the cruel side of the world would absolutely ruin that one. But I'm probably just cynical after learning about the fucking Dark Web ~~i was so young before i learned more about this~~

Worst: Fallout. I'm like the exact opposite of aggressive so unless I managed to find my way to a (relatively) safe place like Megaton/Rivet City/New Vegas/what have you, I'd be up shit creek.

Best: Harvest Moon, maybe? Ultra easy-going simple farm work with kind but quirky people and cute forest sprites. Yes.

I was thinking Harvest Moon, too. A game without any fighting, even happy sweet kid game battling like Pokemon, because in reality it'd be horrible. Harvest Moon really seems peaceful and nice.
