So annoyed by commercials that imply that people who buy or use their products are stupid and/or obnoxious. I know most people don't watch commercials critically, but I always wonder what the hell advertisers were thinking. Like those "Sorry, I was eating a Milky Way" commercials where eating the Milky Way is so distracting, the people seriously mess up what they are doing and the sorry sounds insincere. That actually seems like a good argument for not eating a Milky Way.

I'm really glad Volkswagen stopping running the commercial where the dickhead guy accuses the woman of "slamming into" his car when she didn't. I really hated that commercial.

I don't know why but it's apparently impossible to make a car commercial that doesn't make me hate the car company in question

the Bud Light 'dilly dilly' commercials annoy me in a kind of similar way. The whole conceit of the commercial is basically "Sure, our beer isn't actually that good, but anyone who likes better beer is a fucking dork and fuck them, don't hang out with people who don't like Bud Light". It's just so stupid

also the catchphrase is dumb
