I once waited to board a plane last, since I had a high number in the last boarding group and decided there was no point in bothering to get in there ahead of anyone. The gate agents actually started to worry when they saw they were missing someone and no one was left in line... until I came over from where I'd been throwing something away at the last minute. I felt a little bad, because I know they just wanted to close the doors and call it done, but I still had to wait in the line stretching all the way up the gangway because everyone ahead was still trying to get in their seats.
