Spam. We ate it a lot back in the day, and I do like a plate of Hawaiian-style fried rice with pork and Spam in it every once in awhile )with 2 fried eggs on top, woo hoo!!!), but it's not something I seek out on a regular basis (too much sodium, plus it's not exactly cheap "po' folk's food" anymore.

We used to eat it too, not so much because it was cheap but because it was easy to fry up and I, a notoriously picky eater, would eat it. I haven't eaten any kind of meat in a long time, but I'll admit I remember it as being tasty.

It's very tasty, and there are so many different flavors of it now! I was in a Japanese grocery store the other day and they had a big Hawaiian section that had a dozen different kinds! I was curious so I looked it up when I got home and apparently there are 13 different flavors of the stuff! My mind was blown, I tell you!
