Does mac n cheese with ground beef count? Cuz then yeah. Sadly, I only really get to eat it for my birthday. =(

Also, does pasteleos (puertorican style empanadas) count? Cuz then definitely. xD

I'm sure there's other stuff I still eat that people consider 'poor people food' but they're just part of my life.

I just consider them traditional fare, the. Although you probably wouldn't find them at a high end restaurant...these days tho...lol

While Mac n cheese was on the menu, spaghetti with cut up hot dogs or Vienna sausages were the go to. And it would be Hispanic (Puerto Rican or Dominican style, in my youth) style, so not saucy, and a far cry (but still help a tasty) than Italian spaghetti.

sort of OT : Boricua!! I think there's another user here that is too, & I'm always happy to see there's one or two of us anywhere. Hope your family is well, if you've got anyone back on the island (given Maria).
