This is exactly what I'm talking about. People complain about his "cruddy actions" and terrible decisions but it's super rare to see people say WHAT THEY THINK THOSE ARE.

His deal with Deaton at the end of s2 where he didn't tell anyone what he was doing and he used Derek without his consent was kind of shitty and waved away because of reasons.

And to be tit for tat, the way Derek recruited Erika was damn skeevy and not something I liked, but the show waved that away too.

Like I said, a general issue the show had was ignoring the characters being dicks.
