Not OP, but I’ve caught myself having similar thoughts before, with the addition that even though I have a xenokink, I don’t find the fish man attractive either. Doesn’t mean I won’t see and enjoy the movie; I don’t go to movies just because I find characters attractive. Hell, judging by the trailers I’m gonna love the characters and maybe cry a bit. And it’s not even that I don’t think the actress, or the actor, are attractive normally, just not in this film, which I’m still super excited for.
