Oh, I know not everyone did. But it was a very very tiny pocket of fandom where you didn't constantly hear him called 'Blanders' or pointless.

Yeah, but you've been around other fandoms, ya? Sam was the third wheel on the Kara/Lee ship trolley. It was kinda inevitable. That said, his fans are growing exponentially, as are Leoben's. We love our hot Cylon boys. ;]

Well, of course, that would explain it. I have this feeling that the Kara/Lee 'shippers are rather like BSG's equivalent of SGA's John/Teyla 'shippers, with more canon and more people, and Anders instead of Weir... does that sound right to you?

Well. The Weir/Sheppard shippers are just as bad. Though, really, I'd equate it closer to Sam/Jack vs. Pete Shanahan.

And I apologize if I sound patronizing or annoying and obnoxious.

Oh, I'm not saying otherwise, just thinking of Weir/Sheppard as more comparable to Roslin/Adama insofar as being the largest het pairing in its fandom is concerned, if you see what I mean. And I suppose it is, now that I think about it.
