(Anonymous) 2017-10-31 01:54 am (UTC)(link)I currently work at a supermarket and every few weeks I need to ask my mother if we've ever been such *brats* and am always relieved when she said that we were always well behaved and if we hadn't been, she wouldn't have taken us with her again.
Like, screaming kids are one thing (I always exclude babies and toddlers when I'm judging), but temper tantrums? Nope. And PLEASE don't give the kid what it wants or it will do it every time jfc.
Also, the thing that I hate the most is absolutely not the kids' fault: giving them things to eat before you pay for it. The supermarket is nice about it (even if it's something super annoying like a banana which i have to weight), because hey... keeping customers happy etc. but on some days I really feel the need to point out (in a joking voice so they won't be ~offended) that it's freaking THEFT.
They then always say ~but the child was hungry~ (so? it wouldn't have starved) or ~i just wanted to keep them quiet~ (uhm. you're raising an a+ brat here)
I bet you those kids grow up into one of those adults who drink half their coke before paying because they were ~thirsty.
(Ofc there are always exceptions like diabetes or an extremely snotty nose, which are legit reasons to use something you're going to buy before paying)
