IAWTC. I like Edward/Bella. D: I'm terrified of the fandom because all of the literate people love to hate on it.

Bah! Whatever, if we could only like things that are certified by a professional as not containing any kid of reference to unhealthy conduct, or those things the critics have deemed as worthy of our time, 99.9% of the things people consider entertaining would have to be taken out of the market.

I've only read two chapters so far, and I'm not in the fandom, but pretty much every single person I've seen writing about the book so far has called E/B dysfunctional and unhealthy. I thought it was the general opinion?

That's why I think these "I'm so special because I think the B/E ship is sick" secrets are so ridiculous, these people act like they're the only ones who have ever thought of it.

No, the secret that actually says, "I'm so smart and unique I'm the only person on the internet who thinks B/E is dysfuntional," will be the new "Twilight sucks" secrets.

The secret I submitted states that this series has helped me realize that my tastes really have changed. This is certainly not due to being more familiar with what passes as "literature" at the collegiate level (the whole concept isn't about a concrete block of authors, but rather what academics think, looking back at history, was a work which influenced the present). And not liking Bell and Edward has to do with seeing in them the pain and hurt my own friends have suffered. They are dysfunctional, and from what I can tell, a variety of different people both for and not so for the Twilight series agree.

I respect Stephenie. I even say so in the secret. There was no claim to an original, "Oh look how I am so special, these two, they are so dysfunctional, why does anybody like them, how right I am, oh ego, you are the most beautiful thing in my world," thought popping out of my brain. I can't relate anymore to people who do find Edward and Bella to be healthy and functional. I don't personally like their relationship, but I don't insult those who do.

As the secret says, "I lost all interest and respect in this particular series." Not interest and respect in the people who read the series. To equate the two would be silly.

To those who think that Edward and Bella are healthy and wonderful and better than sliced bread, I don't agree, and I hope you get a love that doesn't leave you feeling like you need to lose a lot of yourself in order to fit the person you want most. But to each their own, and that I respect. I ask for the same consideration in return.

Besides, the only thing which really bothered me and is stated in the secret was that my good friends all looked at me and said, "Oh my god yes ECLIPSE IS OUT WHOOHOO!" and then remembered my birthday the next week. Oh fandom! You are too applicable in face to face life! Woe is me. *strikes over-dramatic pose*
