110. As weird as that strikes me, I can see Lore totally manipulating Data for his own sadistic sexual pleasure.

122. I don't think I would want him as my Captain. But I would love for Tylor to be my poker buddy. You know those mess hall games would be wild.

134. I think he would be very forgiving if you brought a dictionary. And I would right with you in the conversation. I adore him.

140. Who the devil puts a VPL on an action figure? Let alone a male one?

141. Fan girls are odd that way. You show them two straight guys and they want to ship them immediately. Show them a pair of gay men and they couldn't be bothered. I think they just want to warp people.

147. I don't ship them but I am dreading, just dreading, the end of this season because not only do I love Donna, I love Donna and the Doctor together. After three seasons only in the fourth do I feel that we, the audience, are finally getting to see the true side of the Doctor. And that's all because of Donna. He excepts him for who he is. This in turn allows him to just relax and be The Doctor. Not Doctor: father figure. Not Doctor: potential boyfriend. Not Doctor: Savior. Just the Doctor.

Re: 147: Word. I love the idea of a companion who knows The Doctor's really, really good and clever and all, but doesn't idol worship him or anything. She thinks nothing of making fun of him (in a nice, kidding way) and calling him on his shit.

I'm not even familiar with the fandom but I co-sign this hard.

I've even found shows where the subtext is practically text being rarely written for.

I don't know... I know personally, I am way more interested in things that I don't get in canon, fanon-wise. If I get it in canon, yes, I want more of it too. But if it's something that I don't actually see canonically, it's more interested to me in fanon.

Not saying OOC > IC here, they still have to be IC. But if, say... Boy A/Girl A are a canon couple. I personally tend to be less interested in them than Boy B/Boy C, or Girl B/Girl C, or Boy B/Girl E (whut?) who aren't. I like to explore the stuff in fandom that isn't being explored in canon, and though I may ship all of the above, I'm less likely to write fic for the canon relationship.
