Go read a book and get over your privilege. The fact that you think slavery (which, while there may not be slaves alive today, STILL has effects on families) is the only example of oppressions shows just how much you know.

People are still alive who went to segregated schools, but I guess that's not really oppression because they were "separate but equal." Even if they really weren't equal at all.

That's true. But I've met a number of people who I've managed to have intelligent conversations with and they say they learned something or changed their minds. Whether or not that continued in their real lives, obviously I have no way of knowing. But I can't just sit back when I see stupid stuff like this; it's impossible for me to do so.
