103: D: You're lucky people you respect review it—some of us barely resist begging. (waves a"go Anon" flag)

107: Eh, we all put off real work for fandom.

109:... That would officially be the weirdest cop-out ever. I don't think I've ever met anyone who wasn't okay with lesbianism and was okay with GID. Actually, most of the time they don't even understand that there's a difference. Perhaps OP is being a little sensitive?

110: OMG. MY BRAIN IS FRIED.

111: [obligatory "eeeewwwww" moment]

... Okay, so I've developed a liking for latter-day Relena, but I'm always going to be a 1x2x1 girl. :D I like to put her in this odd category where it would totally be a threesome if either of the boys were physically attracted to her, and she's found some contentment in understanding that. (Dude, I haven't written GW in forever, don't get me started again!)

When did Yaoi overcome the incredible popularity of het? I seem to remember when "I ship 1x2" would have been secret-worthy... not 1x2. I feel old.

120: XD Maybe if there were more boys capable of topping fandom, there'd be less wank.

129: MAN, that's rough. No book is worth ignoring a friend's birthday. -.-

149: Double standard much, bb? (Yes, that's condescending. It's meant to be. Secrets like this annoy me.) I'm bi, but I don't think that holding "my word not yours" standards does anything but make more animosity. Get over it and make it a positive word through positive use and calling out people who misuse it. Otherwise, stop using the damn word. It's the context and sentiment that matters, not the romantic orientation of the speaker. It's impossible reclaim a word (which is what this is about, I assume) if you deny the use of the word to those outside the minority it affects because that doesn't allow the new definition to spread to those groups who are still using it in a derogatory context. Those, my dear, are the people you actually want to affect. Reclaim it, fine. Good for you. But unless you call people on misuse and get people to use it as you now define it, you're doing it wrong and looking pretty arrogant.

And it kind of pisses me off that I have to put the "I'm bi" disclaimer. It shouldn't matter whether I'm bi, gay. straight or entirely asexual. GR!

Side note: It's kind of depressing that people are pulling "nigger" out of the wood-works as an example for this secret. :\ Not depressing in the words or the meanings, but depressing in that we have two such sterling examples of language-use stupidity in progress. Way to go, English language. *sigh*

Oddly, I think I would have preferred if the particular friends who did this had just been really busy instead of impatiently waiting to read a book. I am so glad my birthday is nowhere near any of the dates the Harry Potter books were released! XD
