Because it really is true that Moffat is addicted to that adrenaline rush, and it's a major problem with his plotting.

This is Moffet's biggest weakness, I think. You can't keep building up and then pricking a pin through people's expectations and never, ever fulfilling them. Never. You have to, eventually, give in? And give the viewer what you promised. He again and again does a bait and switch and that's the main reason I just gave up on his shows. I don't hate him. I just am not interested in being cockteased all the time. I *like* a good orgasm. :)
