Details, OP!

OP

Oh boy, where do I even start?

Like comments mentioned above, the doujinshi has gore, rape, drugs, mindbreak, angst, etc. The doujinshi got uploaded to myreadingmanga where a bunch of people complained about it. But it doesn't end there, oh no: people went after the author (on twitter, I think) with harassment and dead threads. Author publicly apologized and asked for the doujinshi to be taken down from mrm even if it's still up on other sites. There was also someone who sent either the doujinshi or just the cover to Kubo over twitter telling her to sue the author. Whether it was a troll or not it was up to be seen but the doujinshi caused a MASSIVE storm and general butthurt.

Thank you for the deets, OP! It doesn't sound like my cup of tea, but sending death threats to the doujin author is insane. Reminds me of the petition that a bunch of people signed to get a Hallmark movie cancelled just because it vaguely (very, very vaguely) sounded like the plot of YOI. I love YOI, but as with any big fandom, there are always some wackos.

You're welcome! I love YOI too but the whole situation was pretty distasteful. :c
