Yeaaaah, the only time I made a secret about shipping politics RPF, one of the guys managed to die in the few days between my submitting and it actually getting posted. It was awkward enough by itself, but someone jumped at the secret's throat for disrepecting the dead.

OTOH I remember that secret that stated that our Roundworld would fare so much better if sir Pterry was in charge that managed to get posted the very day or the one following his death, and the chorus of "you know what, let's hope he probably does now" that followed. Nobody called this OP down for the awkward timing and that was good.
