I feel that way about people seriously saying they would like to live in certain time periods in the past - especially if it's anything before, say, the 1960s.

"I want to live in medieval times!" No. You don't. You think camping out for a week during a LARP or RenFaire event is fun. That's fair. But that is not anywhere close to actually living in that time. Chances are, if you existed in that time, you'd already be dead before you reach your current age.
