They're doing seniority-based layoffs at work, so I won't have a job next year. I'm kinda pissed about it because I'm never late, my performance reviews are always good, and I always do my best to help my other coworkers, but I'm the one that's getting axed and not the people who are constantly late and never finish their work. It's bullshit.

That sucks. :( While some things I think are okay seniority based (vacation approval, small things like that), layoffs should always be based on performance, not just the fact that you happen to have been there longest.
