It's not the McElroys, it's OP. She enjoys them, but due to a sense of badness/worthlessness, she doesn't think she's "good enough" for them. It's a very common symptom of depression. They themselves aren't judgey at all and have, in fact, been pretty open about their own mental health issues (anxiety, PTSD, depression) and have encouraged their fans to take care of themselves, up to and including therapy and medication.
