Yep. Just town-related ballots this go-round, and of those, the most controversial one involved some development project the town wanted to set up downtown. A lot of people don't want it, because this town's proven to be kinda shitty with how they've handled downtown developments in the past, and they don't seem to really know how to create anything that would attract and keep young people in this town.

But judging from the election results, it looks like the thing's gonna go through anyway, which, frankly, I think was going to be the outcome no matter what people said about it.

Outside of that and the mayor race not turning out like I wanted, though, I'm pretty happy with the rest of the election outcomes, so yay for that, at least.

In other related topics, I don't live in Virginia (I'm from a whole other part of the country entirely), but I've also been hearing many good things out of the Virginia races tonight, so that's pretty awesome to read about. Here's hoping this can be a good sign for 2018 and beyond.
