Oh man your paragraph about Thor and Loki. All I wanted from this film was for them to be brothers again. I enjoy MCU Loki as a villain or ambiguous little shit as much as the next Loki fan but by this point I just want him to have a genuine redemption arc and that little interaction just before Thor is essentially crowned was one of my favourite scenes.

I just know Infinity War is going to ruin it though. Because Thor can't ever get his brother back and the writers don't seem to know what to do with Loki on the good-bad spectrum so he doesn't change. Thor calling Loki out on that made me think "hope you're listening too Marvel writers!" Even though they y'know...wrote that.

I think that was kind of foreshadowed the way Loki was eyeing the Tesseract on his way through the vaults. He totally took it. It's totally going to mess with things (maybe that's even how Thanos found them in the ending scene).

I really hope they go the "Loki took the Tesseract as a bargaining chip for the safety of himself/Thor/the Asgardians" route and not the "Loki's a piece of shit and is still working for Thanos" route.

Will Thor be angry with Loki for the first route? Yeah, probably, but it's still much more forgivable then the second route.

I really hope so, too. Or at least a "he got the Tesseract to get a much overdue power upgrade as well" because I kinda felt like it's getting a bit ridiculous how much he keeps failing at things, even the stuff that should be his forte.
