Anyway, I can tell where you're coming from, but Ryuu just... well, has Ryuu Rage every now and then. He was caught up in the moment and took it out on Mebi/the Ultras, and like any other person, learns in the end that he was wrong. I think the fact that it was never mentioned again is more to blame on the writers focusing on other plots more than Ryuu himself, as it's evidenced later in the show that he (and the rest of the team, of course) appreciate the help they get.
Though that tact and captain complex part is pretty on the dot. xD

(Anonymous) 2008-06-23 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)The Meitsu incidents stand out as well. Aaaargh, if he hadn't drawn that gun...! To me he never seemed to settle down and think once in a while, which might've helped his case somewhat.
