(Anonymous) 2008-06-24 06:14 am (UTC)(link)I didn't like the first episode of the show, either. So, I quit watching it. Admittedly, I don't go around talking about how much the show sucks, but I have made it clear to people encouraging me to watch it that I'm just not interested. If these comments are anything to go by, even not liking the show is a cardinal sin.
Guess what? I don't care if Simon grows up. I don't care if Kamina's death spurs him to greater heights. I'm still just plain not interested. Nothing about the show drew me in. I was bored through the entire first episode. And honestly, if a show hasn't snagged me by the end of episode 1, it's probably never going to, and I quit right then. Why is this such a problem? It's how I watch all anime, so it's not like I'm just anti-TTGL or anything.
Seriously, guys, wow. Heaven forbid someone not like something.
P.S.: They are still allowed an opinion. Just because you disagree with it or find it dumb doesn't mean they don't have a right to voice it!

Saying "I HATE THIS SHOW and the fact that so many people find it inspirational MAKES ME LOSE FAITH IN MY GENERATION"? Based on the one episode? Yeah, not so much.
