107: Completely understood. People never seem to get that fanfic is really, really different that published fic, or even would-be-published fic.
Congrats on the ghey thing though. XD
108: Badfic is great fantasy fodder. XD I'd say write it out anyways, if only for the practice. :D It need never be shown to anyone. (Has a few like that.) and even badfic written AS badfic has a high amusement factor.

110: It's not limited to Japanese. *sigh* I think it's just that English-language artists are more likely to find it through the grapevine. Gods, this is going to make me sound old, but the Japanese-origin fandoms are becoming more and more "American" as the older people become occupied with adult things (jobs, relationships, bills, etc) and leaving it to kids with no idea of the years of fandom tradition and respect that they're supposed to be inheriting. This is part of what sucks about an instant-gratification medium like the internet. New people to a subculture like fandom come and go so fast that they don't have time to learn the unwritten rules by exposure and brow-beating. At the same time, they're frequently too immature to think about learning them before they break them. *SIGH* GODS, I feel old now.

114: Aw. I do too, though I only dare write 30s-40s for fear of the "ew, OLD" reaction. I think it's the validation of the "happily ever after". It's so easy to see everything as perfect and fluffy when you're 20 and the sex is still hot, but love after 60 years when both of them need help from the other? And the sex mat still be hot, but infrequent and rife with complications? That's real love, baby.
122: Because most of fandom who are girls? Not trying to bash or anything, but romance is the feminine porn, and in most cultures women are raised with a pre-made plan of "grow up, fall in love, get married, have babies". (shrug) It makes sense that we project the first three (and frequently the fourth) onto our fantasies via fandom.
139: Sing it aloud, BB. ♥ They notice it more. I do that all the time. Also, my ringtone is from Kingdom Hearts. :D
141: Not really, though it fades. The internet is a giant archive of past wank. Nothing ever goes away.
