Anime fandoms are often terrible though. Even for good shows. I don't watch any anime anymore but I'd happily do that before setting foot into another fandom.

It's common for anime fans to hate moe, and when I look at new releases, a large percentage of them are moe-adjacent. You may have more company than you think.

That's a shame. I think the source material has a lot to offer. Yeah, some of it's shitty, but if it's inspiring all the things you love, I don't see how it can be that bad.
