My point, I guess, is that the arrows of cause and effect that you're drawing don't necessarily hold.

It's less that they adopt those views as part of a tactic to abuse others, and more that people are just shit no matter what they claim to believe.

Yes, I get it . People are abusive.

And abusive people sometimes pretend to be something they're not to cover up their abusive behavior. Sometimes they pretend to be the complete opposite of what they really are.

That was all I was saying. I don't know why you keep acting like I just don't understand that people are abusive?
