I completely agree. He annoyed the heck out of me, not so much for missing Eleven, because her disappearance would be traumatic. But I found his antipathy towards Max really offputting, especially considering he'd brought Eleven into the group last season. You'd think he'd be able to identify a bit. Lashing out at Hopper? I get that he was upset, but jeez, why don't you be grateful that someone else actually looked after her and protected her, instead of being jealous and angry. He just got on my last nerve, and never really got off.
