As someone who has been a victim, hearing about it constantly is kind of not good for my mental health.

I mean, it's not to the level of actually triggering a panic attack, but I'm feeling this sort of low-level anxiety.

Don't get me wrong, it's a good thing that we're having these conversations, but it's not particularly comfortable for me.

I'm glad the worst of them are being brought into the light like the cockroaches they are, but I kind of worry society is turning into a hammer that sees everything like a nail, or possibly thinking this kind of gross behavior is only limited to specific areas like Hollywood.

But as more assholes are exposed, more victims will be inspired to tell their own stories and out whoever hurt them. This will likely get worse before it gets better.

If it's upsetting to read about it everywhere, it might help to not watch/read the news as much, or possibly limit social media time if everyone on your feed is talking about it.

Totally get that, yeah. Like you said, it's a very important topic worth bringing up, but it's so...depressing and disheartening, too, just being reminded of how prevalent this stuff really is.

And it seems like every other day there's a new accusation, too, so it's not even like people can get a chance to breathe and absorb the prior accusations before dealing with the new ones. Makes your head spin after a while.
