I didn't know there was a movie! Honestly, I'm almost curious now, except the reaction here is so negative... I loved those books.

Not just fans of the books hate the movie. The author herself hates the movie - and with good reason. There is nothing, not even the slightest thing, redeeming about it. It's just that bad, and not even just in a "terrible adaption" way but in a general "really bad movie overall" way as well.

They cast Christopher Ecclestone, and it was *great* casting and everyone was excited...but it is honestly one of the worst movies I have seen, as well as horribly mangling the story.
