(Anonymous) 2017-11-12 12:46 am (UTC)(link)First of all , are we talking about ACTUAL pedophilia? or just what tumblr calls pedophilia. I've seen people who call aging up pedophilia (people grow up? NEVER), characters who seem childlike to them and thus are 'coded' as children being shipped pedophilia, and shit like a 17 yo and a 19 yo pedophilia.
These are not pedophilia. And if this is all you're 'cracking down on' then you are being ridiculous. I know that if you call your enemies "literal pedophiles" you look more righteous but.. when you step out of the echo chamber , people think differently.

(Anonymous) 2017-11-12 12:48 am (UTC)(link)So would you say that AYRT's point is valid if it's applied exclusively to ships that do fit the proper criteria for "pedophilia"?
Re: Controversial/Unpopular Opinions
(Anonymous) 2017-11-12 12:57 am (UTC)(link)I'm talking about how tumblr slaps the "pedo" label on all sorts of things that AREN'T ACTUALLY pedophilia (no a 17 and a 19 year old being paired is NOT PEDOPHILIA) so they can justify it by saying a statement most people would AGREE with. Just.. they're using a completely different metric for what they consider "pedophilia". They're moving the goal post.
Like if you said to a crowd "this person supports pedophilia" the crowd would, naturally react with disgust and anger. But if you said "this person writes fanfiction about a fictional 17 and 19 year old girlfriend and boyfriend" honestly? most people wouldn't fucking care. They're just using the definition that gets the most moral outrage. That doesn't mean it is the correct one"
