There's a certain genre of comment that runs, "I got stuck in line behind a baby boomer who paid with a check! They're so entitled." Or "I got stiffed on a tip by an older person. Baby boomers are so entitled."

Try my entire family doing this because they have had long-term jobs for fifty years and haven't had to even think about looking for one in the current climate. But no, I'm not disabled, I'm fuckin' lazy.

So yeah, there's definitely entitled fuckin' Baby Boomers out there and you need to stop whiteknighting them just because you want to be an honorary member.

A quarter of the adults over 40 in my family have been unemployed or underemployed for most of the last year. I think your family are likely "really sheltered." Job hunting is tough at any age these days. Good luck.
