Shpff, you are automatically adorable because you rescue kitties. That's the law. That I have made up right now.

Aww, thanks! I can't claim too many hero points here, we thought he was just a stray when he came to us because he was in such bad shape (underweight, worms, missing fur/scars etc). Then one of our housemates was talking to the guy down the road and he went "oh hey that's my cat, lol." When he asked if he wanted to take him back he basically said "nah we don't really want him anyway." :( Poor babe.

D: Nuooooo. Ugh, I hate people. We picked up a stray when we were in LA (after visiting Universal Studios) and we tried to take him to the shelter there and the guy was like, "Well he let you pick him up, so he probably belongs to someone, just put him back where you found him."

Like, dude. We were in a ghetto motel in the middle of an industrial area, he was malnourished, dirty, unneutered, and the fact that he let me pick him up is moot, cats love me, a mountain lion would probably let me pet him. XD

So we went to Target, got food and a carrier and took him back to the shelter near my friend's house in the Bay Area, turns out he had a tapeworm too. :

Oh, poor baby. That's awful. :( One of my housemates is very much not a cat person and also tried the argument of "well he obviously belongs to someone, he's not yours, let him go" when I took him in before we found his owner. I pointed out that even if he did have an owner they obviously didn't give a shit about him by the way he was starving and underfed and literally sneaking into the house at night to steal our other cat's food because he was so hungry.

I hope your kitty found a good home in the end? Bless you for putting in the time and effort to get him somewhere safe, a lot of people wouldn't have done that. <3

Yeah we followed up with the shelter and found out he had been adopted, which we were glad about. We were worried because he played very rough with everyone not-me when we were trying to keep him at first, and when we surrendered him there was this big fear that no one would have the patience to socialize him.
