What sequels did you enjoy more than the original?

Books, video games, and movies allowed. TV show spin offs count too!

Captain America: The Winter Soldier actually made me like Captain America. I still hate the first movie.

I think Wrath of the Lich King is the greatest WoW expansion ever.

WoTLK was really great tbh, I was an even-more casual raiding scrub back then than I am now and I still enjoyed it a lot. But I also usually find something positive in every expansion, even WoD which was a mess.

Plus Northrend as a zone was just nicely laid out and done, except for Wintergrasp being RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of the continent. But yeah the raids were good, the lore was good(ignoring Muradin NOT BEING DEAD, FFS), just overall a really decent expansion.

I loved that Arthas could be felt in every part of the game. He even had a loosely connected quest line through out all of leveling (that was so sad!).

Yup, it's one of the best end-boss immersions they done in the quests, I mean they've tried to an extent in later expansions but not like they've done for WoTLK where it was pretty much the entire expansion building up to him.

But then Arthas's whole story is the best one they've done.

Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Revenge of the Sith. Return of the King. All of these have great predecessors, I just liked them better.

Star Trek: First Contact is my favorite Trek movie. Star Trek Beyond was better than both of its predecessors.

I liked the Captain America and Thor movies more than the Iron Man movies, though I liked those too.

- Son of a Witch by Gregory Maguire (the sequel to Wicked)

- Final Fantasy XII and all the FF games set in Ivalice (FF Tactics/Advance/A2)

Judgement Day is the standard-bearer, obviously. X2. Army of Darkness. Hot Fuzz, if that counts.

Star Trek Discovery is the first Star Trek show I've ever been remotely interested in.

Aliens is my favorite.

Frasier, I liked Cheers, but Frasier was better.

I liked Stargate Atlantis just a bit more than Stargate SG-1, which I liked just a bit more than the movie.

I liked Star Trek: The Next Generation better than the original series, but I liked Deep Space Nine and Voyager better the Next generation.

I like The Flash better than Arrow.
