Uh, Sif was supposed to be there, but the actress couldn't make the schedule work. I agree about Jane, though. I did not ship her with Thor, but I did like her character quite a bit. Scientist women in film are great.

Oh yeah I know Sif had scheduling conflicts, I don't blame anyone for that since shit happens and all. But I would have liked to see Valkyrie and Jane interact, one smart lady to another smart but-kicking lady.

I wanted to like Jane and Thor together more than I did, but alas it never worked for me in more than a 'it's kinda cute' way, but I would have loved to still see her in the movies even if they weren't dating anymore. Just how much would Jane have geeked out over all the space stuff? It would have been cute as hell.

Part of the problem for me was that I didn't personally see chemistry whereas I saw chemistry between him and Sif even though the creators didn't intend it. But now I'm shipping him and Valkyrie hard. Honestly, Thor may be my fandom bicycle.

For me at least Thor/Jane being a cute background pair made me more ameanable to it, not something I ship but something I'm like 'yeah it's cool' with.

Oh man Thor/Valkyrie could work for me so well, tbh I felt that she had good chemistry with pretty much everyone(though with Loki more in a 'kick his fucking ass bb' type way) so I can absolutely dig shipping Valkyrie with lots of people. But yes, Thor/Valkyrie, very good ship.

Trouble is that Natalie Portman is a great character actress but really sucks at romance and relationship scenes. That and I felt like she kind of didn't take the role seriously because it was just a dumb comic book movie and not some high prestige artsy film.
