I didn't want to use baking powder with aluminum in it and that was the only kind I could find. Though I do eat stuff made with that kind of baking powder so I shouldn't have been so weird about it.

Hrmmmmm.
I suppose it seems off-putting, but there's aluminum in *tons* of our food. It's kinda everywhere.

I just hate cooking and baking a *lot*, so doing something like attempting to make my own baking powder would just *never* occur to me. It'd be like buying my own olives to press. Oh dear gods, no. :)

It's really true - I eat things cooked in aluminum all the time so I don't know why I decided to care about the tiny amount in baking powder.

I was on this kick for a while where I wanted to make everything from scratch. I actually considered grinding my own wheat. I've mellowed out a little since then.
