No. I spent almost all day yesterday on tvtropes. I refuse to be sucked back in.

Noooooo.

I've now looked at like a dozen pages and one of them is missing a glaringly obvious example of the trope and I'm wondering if I should look into if it's possible for a random person to submit something to them, or if you have to be one of the people who run the site.

It's a wiki, you should be able to open an account. It's differently coded than Wikipedia, and the rules for what to post are different, but it's not any harder than that (and considerably easier to edit than IMDB in my experience).

It's super easy to contribute to TVTropes I used to do that a lot
