Thor: Ragnarok for movies, watching it a second time was still just as fun and I fell in love with Valkyrie even more.

And for TV shows The Good Place, I wasn't sure I'd like it since I can be very hit or miss with US comedies, but this one tickles me just right and the characters are really endearing.

Valkyrie was amazing. I went in expecting to love Hela, and that happened. But I was not expecting to love Valkyrie as much as I did. She was awesome.

I really liked her on the first watch, her introduction was great, and on the second I was like 'let me love you'. She's just the bomb tbh and I really hope we see her in future movies.

Ha yeah same, I knew I'd enjoy the fuck out of Hela, and I did, but Valkyrie stole my heart so much.

It's really fun, I'm looking forward the rest of season 2 next year. :)

Me too! And I'm surprised that so far the ratings have been decent enough that there's most likely going to be a season 3, because most shows I like get canceled after one season.

Oh that's awesome, I hope it gets season 3 it's been doing a good job of entertaining me over the last week and I'd like to see what else they can do with the premise tbh.

The Good Place is lovely. I was concerned I wouldn't get into the humor because I could easily see someone else thinking it's too quirky, but like you I think the characters sell it for me. They have moments where they can be too much, but something happens that grounds them and shows they're, for lack of better term, human.

Plus as a Filipino I'm just thrilled to have Jason as a character and the opposite of the nerdy genius Asian. XD;;

For me at least it's that humour doesn't always translate well from the US so it ends up just being absurd rather than funny, but I think The Good Place strikes a decent balance with it being very strange but not too over the top and the four principle characters certainly help with that.

I also like how he was a subversion of the 'wise Asian' trope as well which tickled me to no end when it was revealed that he was the farthest thing from it. :P
