Brent Weeks' stuff isn't too bad, particularly wrt the Lightbringer series, but there's some really iffy stuff in the Night Angel series (Elene is kind of a...pure, virginal fantasy, and Kylar's relationship with her revolves around that fantasy; Vi is a woman who uses her Feminine Wiles to entrap her marks, but who doesn't get any pleasure out of sex and doesn't like it [until Kylar and all of the stuff that happens involving him, of course, where suddenly she feels lust and arousal!], which allows her to retain her purity; Jenine is manipulated, semi-kidnapped, and misused by Dorian, despite his love for her, which allows her to retain her purity, as well).

I was thinking the Lightbringer series, which is what I read. (Well, at least the first three books of it. IDK if there are more out now?) But all I could remember off the top of my head was The Blinding Knife and knew that wasn't the name of the series and I was too lazy to look it up on my phone.
