Okay, maybe calling it a personal attack was the wrong term.
But it certainly seems like it's just asking for trouble. Especially with the line "and everyone wonders why people make secrets about BNFs".
It just seems shady, given the fact that there was recently an attack secret about the same member of fandom posted not that long ago.

Yeah, but so are secrets saying stuff like "I think yaoi is retarded" etc but they're still kind of genuine. The actual secret seemed pretty nicely worded to me though (and generalized, too), considering they could've been all "I hate this Lind person's stupid fanbrats! Especially this one!" or something along those lines thkgjtk

I DIDN'T MEAN FOR IT TO BE AN ATTACK AGAINST THAT BNF. And, well, isn't this "OMG BNF MUST BE FRIENDS/EVERYTHING THEY DO IS AWESOME!" attitude fandom has the reason why some fans dislike BNFs and end up leaving fandom?

I have no idea why some people leave fandom. I assume it's usually because either they are no longer interested in the show or they get tired of the constant wank.

Sometimes, it's the BNFs. Honestly. I've got LJ friends who get tired of the constant swooning over the BNFs and the total idolization of their work--when it isn't always the best anyway. (No, this isn't about her fiction either, in case you misinterpret it.)

I don't think it was an attack... I think you probably could've taken out her name, just for the sake of not stirring up drama when you know it's a sore subject. She's kind of bummed out about being singled out so much.

Haha, no no it wasn't about her. Really. I only had to put her name in because the person who said that comment said that about the first wanky secret (who wasn't me) and it was so out of place, really. I don't get why the commenter had to say her j2 was better than EVERYONE ELSE'S. I got so pissed off--I mean, why say that? Right?

And haha, I was just going to write her an apology via PM on my LJ. Really. I hope she doesn't feel too bad. It wasn't about her, it was about what the OP said. :(
