TB!2: I like it because the cast is over the top. But hey, when you just can't die there's bound to be a few screws loose.

147. I don't think I'll ever understand how people can hate a piece of work that doesn't overstep some politically-correct grounds or do anything to people. Of course you're going to alienate some people; your reason for hating that game is not sympathetic enough.

Why can't you just dislike it because you dislike it? Why does it have to be wrong on a social level for dislike to be okay? O_o

I said hate. Hate and dislike are completely different, in that dislike is generally just a feeling, but hate is very strong and unhealthy. There has to be a reason why it's called hate crime and not just dislike crime.

And...going by your example, that plate of liver and onions actually does something harmful to you. As far as I can tell from the secret the game Suikoden III doesn't hurt the OP in any way. Hence my comment.

Where, exactly, did you see the word "hate" in my secret? All I said is it's bad fanfiction. I mean, if that to you is the equivalent of committing a hate crime, then I just flat-out give up.

No, you're misinterpreting my words, just as the one I'm replying to seem to be doing. It's probably a bad choice inserting that 'hate crime', but what I really want to say is there is a major difference between disliking something and hating something, in that disliking does not involve being hostile.

Before I insert my foot into my mouth further, I would like to apologize for putting words into your mouth a little, but then again you did use 'be openly hostile'. Again, hostile is something I associate with hate and not dislike, and again I apologize if (or that) I'm putting words into your mouth.

What I never intended to do was equating saying Suikoden III is a bad fanfiction with a hate crime.

I can see really hating Suikoden III if you were a hardcore Luc fan :/

What I disliked of III about Luc was that there was a sudden increase of his fans. :/ All clamouring "he's just misunderstood! emo! let's give him a hug!".

:/ I love Luc. I adore him. I'm happy he was in Sui 1 through 3. I'm just not happy w/ the fandom.

I guess it depends. I had an experience where one of my favorite characters was retconned to be all the time evil and then killed off in an otherwise well-written story, and it annoyed me :P

I also don't get the III!Luc fangirls. With the emo. Hopefully that's died down now?

~_~; Oh man, retconning... I hate that in terms of established storyline.

It was a while ago... but the thing is I found them so overwhelming that I just disappeared from the fandom and tried to enjoy the following games on my own w/o having to hear any second opinions. ~~It didn't quite work with V though... ;__;'''~~
