These days, I hate how fandom hates Suzaku so much.
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore Lelouch. I rooted for him for most of the first season, but he continuously, continuously shatters my heart with his actions in every other episode now. He's fighting for the right side, his intentions are good, but he doesn't care enough about how he does it. Somehow I think it's partly to do with what happened to Euphie, but he's spiraling further and further downwards and acting way too much on emotion rather than on his brilliant logic.
As for Suzaku... I hated him for his attitude in the first season. Pretending to be so good and being so bloody annoyingly naive... Now though, he's certainly taken a good few lessons from Lelouch and he's becoming the stronger character in my eyes, while Lulu is suffering. Why for the life of me he thinks that changing Britannia from the inside is going to do anything while V.V. and Charles are still around... argh.
At this point, I'm a confused little fangirl that has jumped ship halfway through. D: Half of me laughs at how ridiculous Lulu is now, and the other half weeps every time he makes another heartless mistake. T^T'
OTL Suzaku, knock some sense into him!

I feel the same way. I'm in despair at every episode, because you just know he isn't going to get away with this shit the way he's going. Suzaku on the other hand hasn't done anything 'wrong' as such, his actions are understandable from his POV but it looks like they're both heading for some kind of retribution. I just hope its tragic and wonderful. Also, yay for Suzaku's development in R2 - a lot of people did think he was annoying, but to me he was nothing but endearing and fascinating 8D;; Needs confrontation of those two before one or both die!

You're right. Lulu really can't get away with what he's been doing, and the fact that the series has resorted to ridiculous deus ex machina shit to drag his safety out isn't helping in the slightest. It just highlights how badly thought out his actions are, despite him being a "genius". I can't see why people are still so much on Lelouch's side. He's so flawed now, and there's no way he can possibly succeed the way he wants to, not if he continues doing things the way he's been doing them. T^T'
Suzaku's development pleasantly surprised me. I never really detested him the way some people in the community do, (mainly because yes, his actions are realistic for his motives) but he reminds me a lot of Kira Yamato, especially with that idealism of his. No matter what he does, is he really going to be able to change Britannia from the inside? He's only an ex-11, even if he becomes Governer of Japan, what's he going to do about the rest of Britannia? What happens after he loses power? OTL These are reasons why I can't be on his side either. D:
Tragic and wonderful ending with confrontation between Lulu and Suzaku FTW. <3 I'M SITTING ON THE FENCE STILL. HOW ABOUT I JUST ROOT FOR EMPRESS TIANZI AND THE CHINESE FEDERATION LULZ LULZ LULZ.

Yeah, those are good points! His motivations are as badly thought out as Lelouch's, he's firmly convinced himself that this is the path he needs to take and I think he stopped himself from questioning it, as well as questioning a load of other things. I looove mentally fucked up-Suzaku.

Truthfully, both Lelouch and Suzaku are mentally fucked up. They've just taken it in different ways and ended up against each other. OTL i have no idea.
OH MAN, THAT WOULD BE THE MOST PERFECTEST ENDING. EPIC!
