I thought it was handled well. I think it's okay to recognize that much.

Obviously it doesn't end here, it's not like he can say "sorry" and it all blows over, but as far as the action of saying sorry goes, this was a good example of how to take the first step of admitting and apologizing. Especially when compared to what all the rest of the accused have done.

Victims have been losing jobs, livelihood, their good names, gave up their dreams all because they've been predated upon.

I'm not gonna shed a tear if he's never employed ever again. He can cry into his millions, maybe even go to therapy if he really wants as he sure can afford one. His victims, maybe not.

I don't believe him. He does art, he recognizes emotions, so he can see the lack of enthusiastic consent. Furthermore his wife, a person who knows him well, divorced him. Thirdly, you shouldn't have sex with someone under your power without some serious communications with them.

Yeah i've liked his comedy for many years and I don't like the idea of any one man being made The Example and publically tarred and feathered or whatever, but at this point I'm kinda like "a) he'll live. b) how many victims of sexual harassment/assault lost their jobs or had their names dragged through the mud when they tried to speak up about what happened?" Not that I'm saying this guy is the worst or that anything bad that happens to him from here on is ok, but IF his career suffers, it will be a direct result of his own behaviour that for the first time people in that industry are widely being held accountable for. If it suffers...i'm not gonna cry about it. I don't think he can be legally prosecuted for any of this, so if his sales drop it is literally THE LEAST that could have happened.

He bragged about how much all his victims admired him and pretended like the power he had over them was just down to that, how these women wanted to please him because he's so great, and not him smearing them to the industry and ruining their careers. So he both failed to admit to the worst part of his crime and got a big humblebrag in. What a piece of shit.
