Okay... what are puppies in this context? I googled Dittoheads, but I don't think google would help me with "puppies."

A group of SFF fans who got pissed off about feminist, LGBTQ, and multicultural SFF getting shortlisted for awards.

I'm obviously not the person you are replying to, but here are more details. It is referring to the Sad Puppies and Rabid Puppies. (If you want to Google it yourself, I'd Google "sad puppies Hugo Awards" and "rabid puppies Hugo Awards".)
