Her introductory scene really endeared her to me right away. I guess because I can't remember the last time I saw a main female character allowed to be seen as a stumbling drunk who wasn't a crying mess? I'm know the "badass!drunk" does exist in female characters but not as much as males imo. People generally don't seem to think much in a fantasy setting if a grizzled tortured man is seen chugging an entire bottle of something before he gets up to kick-ass, it just felt unusual to see a woman do it? And I don't think it really glamourised her drinking (what with Thor pointing out it might kill her and the fact she's obviously meant to be a flawed character.)
