I don't think it's well designed if the title is unreadable, lol.

I had to squint for a while. I think it's Hiddensee, but I... have no idea what that is supposed to mean.

It wasn't unreadable for me, but I'm German and Hiddensee was my grandmother's favourite island to vacation on.

Hiddensee is an island off the northeast coast of Germany. Don't know how this fits with a novel that purportedly take places in Bavaria (southeast) and in the Black Forest of Bavaria, which is a fabrication because the real Black Forest is situated in Baden-Württemberg (mostly Baden) which is in the southwest. All three regions are populated by very different "tribes", for want of a better word, and speak very different idioms so puzzling all of this out gives me a headache, despite the admittedly pretty cover. Not my kind of book anyway, but the messed-up setting makes me somewhat irate until I remind myself that this is "just a fantasy".

To be fair, I think it's "A Tale of the Once and Future Nutcracker" that matters here. "Hiddensee" doesn't mean anything to a lot of people who don't speak German.
