I honestly don't get the issue.
Is this some socially ""correct"" thing of white man / Black woman equals oppression? It's got to be something daft like that sitting in one of my many blind-spots cause I'm jut not seeing why everyone else feels apologetic over it.
Edit, I realise that is if wasn't some socjus thing to do with the races, it probably will be now, but honestly, I'm not trying to be snide here, It really is my best guess. And don't tell me it's totally out of left field, I remember Nu!Trek, and fandom hasn't become more chill with race shit since then.

I think that was part of the appeal for me actually. A strong woman not being here for Loki's shit yet still being drawn to him and bluntly letting him know how much he sucks as a decent person along the way. The other aspect of this is that they're both somewhat broken people (him probably more so) and that's always a good starting point for drama!
